Boura Warrior Template thread

Ok, So we can't imbue the Boura Tail shield and with that there are very few templates that can make use of it. Now all in all there are better PvM/PvP templates out there, but the focus is to make a decent warrior template around this shield because heck they are fun to play with. If you have a template please share. Here is one I cooked up on notepad however no suit template.

120 swords
120 parry
120 resist
105 chiv (No fail Holy light)
100 tacts
80 poisoning
75 Insert skill here
1/3 ring
2/3 Orny
1 fc cleaver = 4/6

I'd modify this slightly for PvP.

I would go:

120 macing
120 parry
120 resist
90 tactics
105 chiv
100 med
65 spellweaving

1/3 hci/dci ring
orny
fc 1 hammer pick, war axe, club, and mace

Keep a soulstone around to stone off weaving to get a level 6 circle and put it back on. Pixies are awesome if you get someone dismounted, with a good circle you summon 4 at once (assuming your mount takes up 1 follower slot). Chase an archer around with a club equipped until you finally get a paralyze parry, jump off, dismount. Kill his mount, keep yours alive. Remount, summon 4 pixies and let the lols ensue. Smoke bombed? No biggy, cast thunderstorm. Plus the boost to gift of renewal and attunement are great.

I don't think I would be spamming holy light a whole lot, unless I'm playing support and we are fighting a bunch of mages. High chiv to make sure i succeed curing against DP.

I would probably use the mace and hammer pick the most. I would really avoid any DoT specs like bleed, poison, or holy light when using the boura tail shield. The whole benefit of it is it paralyzes your opponent for three seconds, which is enough for 2 swings. I would basically stick with the hammer pick most of the time. Mortal to block heals and AI for dmg output.

Stone *off* Spellweaving to get a level 6? how does that work?
You have to be within 20 skill points of other players in order to be in a circle with them.

If you stone your spellweaving off you can find 4 people that don't have spellweaving fairly easily. Get the level 6 circle and put weaving back on.

Ya Lynk, I like that template.

Maybe modify it a bit more

Replace Chiv with Necro, Med with SS and tweak with +skill, stack lmc,MI and mr. Given the slight healing/curing disadvantages it would be a mean little template. Stamina hits, strangles, pain spikes, etc along with pixies lol.

Well you'd have a sheild equipped, so the only method of healing would be spirit speak. I don't think you would last long.

That sounds like a really fun template, think I may try that for my last character slot. The thing is, I only have 700 skill cap acct. How would you fit in +20 skill in that suit? Because it feels like you really can't afford to drop any skills anything.

edit:
Nevermind, I'll just drop med by 20, should be okay.

Its Macing better in PVP?
all the Melee skills have strengths and weaknesses, study the base item types and their corresponding special moves and pick the skill with the items you like best.

I chose mace fighting because the hammer pick has a high base damage. Since there is no anatomy and DI will be limited, it is easier to hit the 35 dmg cap for armor ignores.

You could do fencing and use a leaf blade, but the hammer pick is nice because the mortal/ai combo. You could also do swords and use a broad or longsword. I just prefer mace fighting for this particular character.
