This is so bad. Sending a code that is not formatted the same way that you have to enter it makes it seem like they just don't care.

Assuming that the fix isn't done because it's a cookie cutter store for all other EA games which makes it difficult to send a properly formatted code. Why don't they rewrite the input to strip spaces, dashes, or accept the format they send?

its been happening for a couple months now.
Hmm, sounds a bit unacceptable to me... I think it's interesting that they know about this issue for a while and it's still not fixed yet...
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the devs, but how come the person who runs this store hasn't been fired yet?

Get a friend to Page a GM on you for unatended third party macroing and a GM will show up within the hour. Once he starts talking to you trying to see if your macroing or not, ask for his help.

Indeed, it's perfectly easy for any half-decent computer system to ignore any non-alphanumeric input when processing. Even better, it could simply not accept any non-alphanumeric characters, e.g. if I did Ctrl-V to paste in an e-mailed code. There are middle school students who learn how to do this in JavaScript, and it shouldn't be difficult at all with UO's own code.
