Booster Ships : Firepower or Speed ?

I am curious to hear what sailors think of the new ships and their differences.

Do you enjoy more the added firepower or the greater speed ?

The Tokuno Boat has a turn delay and drift speed of 3 as compared to 1 of the Gargoyle galleon but the latter can sport 7 cannons versus 5.

Not to mention that the Orc Galleon has a 150% cannon damage as compared to the other two (turn delay 2 and drift speed of 1...) which can only go up to 100%...

Soooo, which of the 3 you found better performing in combat ?

Two of the advantages of the Tokuno boat are:
1.) It's pretty good looking
2.) It's get the biggest hold

Also, at least as far as firepower goes, the fewer cannons on the Tokuno boat only affect your maximum possible damage output.
It's the crew that would affect how much of that potential you're using.

I would like to see a "sloop" type ship thats fast but only carries 2-3 cannon each side. Hit-and-run tactic would be good option.

I didn't really notice a difference in speed between the Tokuno and the Gargoyle Galleon. I am currently sticking to the Tokuno Ship since it is cheaper and has the bigger hold.

There is a damage modifier to the boat types themselves. Im not sure of the tok ship but it has he weakest multiplier and lowest hit points. The garg ship has highest hit points and medium damage modifier. The Orc ship has (I think) a 40% damage increase over the garg ship but less hit points.

We got an Orc ship today and outfitted it w/heavy cannon. We can scuttle a pirate ship in 10 to 20 shots using regular cannon balls. The fight is usually over with light to moderate damage on our ship. On our last pirate hunt we took out two orc ships without a captain and captured the captain on a third before repairing.
