That emergency fix yesterday apparently was the result of someone discovering that there were certain categories of buyable books that could be turned in for 200 each as a side-effect of having the untranslated ancient tome and other books as turn-ins, and they had to stop all book turn-ins to limit the damage.

Don't you hate it when people ruin the fun for everyone else?

Actually, I am more disappointed in the Dev that did the work on it, because that means they just reskinned something already in the game to make an untranslated tome, instead of taking the extra 2 minutes and making it a unique item.
