[Inscription] Bonuses to inscription and uses?

As someone else said, inscription faq is pretty weak, so heres my list of simple questions.

1. Can inscription be used to make necro books/spells?
2. Can inscription be used to make bushido books?
3. Can inscription be used to make chivalry books?
4. Can inscription be used to make spell weaving books?
5. I thought I read somewhere that inscription gives a bonus to resists, true or not? If not which skill was it?
6. How many scrolls to make a spellbook? And if you can make the above books, how many scrolls for them?

Thanks for the answers in advance.

1. Necro spells can be inscribed, but not the necro spellbooks.
2. Inscription is not used to make bushido books.
3. Inscription is not used to make chivalry books.
4. spellweaving books are gained through the quest system and cannot be inscribed. Neither can spellweaving spells (despite a somewhat ambiguous post of mine on another thread).
5. As far as I am aware inscription (at GM) gives a 10% boost to spell damage only.
6. It costs 10 scrolls to make a spell book.
7. And finally - I'm pretty sure of the above and have checked on my chars with inscribe just to be sure nevertheless, my apologies for any errors subsequently pointed out by other posters.

In addition: you could just invest 8gp or so on a scribe's pen and see for yourself what can be made.

Thanks for your reply. I would have bought a scribes pen had I been at my pc and not my laptop which didnt have uo on it.

Thank you kindly for all your answers to my rather newb questions, I know they could have been found via search and or google and a ton of reading, or by buying a scribes pen, so thank you so much for helping me out.

I really appreciate it.

Glad to be able to help. If you should decide to make a scribe give me a shout and I'll pm you with a few tips to speed up the process (I have several chars with inscribe as all my mages benefit from the 10% spell damage bonus).

When making spellbooks, remember to have 120 magery and 150int. In my experience 120eval also helped but that could just be perception and good RNG.

5. It can give a 5 point boost in elemental resists when both Reactive Armour and Magic Reflect are up with a 0 pysical resist penelty. RA at 100 Inscription gives a 20 PYS bonus with a -5 ELE, MR gives a -20 PYS with a 10 ELE bonus.
Also since Reactive armour gives a PYS bonus, you can use Prot if you do not rely on magic resist and have some spell delay bonus.

Also wanted to add that it is much easier to scribe with the KR client and the WBB UI. I just load up on MR and Focus items and regs and stuff and click all, I can basically passive med while burning through scrolls with 1 click of the button. If you do not use the WBB UI, you will stop on failure so it defeats the purpose.

Since no mana is used, whats the point of 150 int for spellbook making?
Well as i said it could just be perseption and a good run of RNG, buti got the best of my books while at 120magery and 150 INT(not mana...Intelligence)

Wear an inscription talisman as well when inscribing spellbooks.
I know the RNGs are whacked, but I burned through at least 10k scrolls one week and got an Elemental book and some Dragon ones with a tally on. Then I waited a few weeks and got 2 Reponds, Undead, and Arachnid in 1000 scrolls and noticed I forgot the use the tally. I still have not gotten a Demon slayer yet though :wall:
