Have bonsai plants always given seeds?

Oooooh, and can they be cross polinated now?? I'll have to go get some new ones tonight! I have old ones laying around but I'm guessing they'd still be the old code....?

I wonder if they cross into more Bonsai or if a switch got tweaked and they will cross into fern or something and it's an accident that will be fixed. Sounds strange.
