Bone Weight Reduced / New Deedable Items Coming

Haven't seen anyone else post about this here, so I thought I'd throw it out there as some good news for everyone, regardless of whether or not you plan to purchase the SA expansion.

It appears that the weight of bones (regular and demon) will be reduced to 1/10 stone so that a stack of 1,000 bones only weighs 100 stones.

Also, many many items will be able to be deeded. Of all the resources you get on Retribution using the "give resources" command (e.g., regular crafting resources, gems, peerless ingredients, imbuing ingredients, etc.), the only one I've found that can't be put into deed form is bark fragments. Also, commodity deeds that have been used change color to a dark green (same as last summer's spring cleaning tickets). It's very easy now to distinguish between empty commodity deeds and filled ones.

Note about bones, it's weight was reduced because they became reagents for Mysticism.

Good news on the commodity deeds. Just last week I lost track of a full deed in my pack when I bought 20 empty deeds from the banker. Will be nice to easily pick them out with a quick glance.

Plain bones (used for tailoring) - yes
demon bones - dont know but hopefully not Buying them from a npc would make summon a bone deamon somewhat senseless.

The daemon bones are also lighter.

I don't think mage NPCs anywhere have started selling bones of any type or fertile dirt. However, the mystic NPCs near the center of Royal City in Ter Mur were both selling the following this morning:

Mysticism spellbooks
Scribe's pens
Blank scrolls
Recall runes
Refresh, Agility, Night Sight, Lesser Healing, Strength, Lesser Poison, Lesser Cure and Lesser Explosion potions
Magery reagents
Bone (3 gp each)
Fertile dirt (2 gp each)
Six types of mysticism spell scrolls (Nether Bolt, Healing Stone, Purge Magic, Enchant, Sleep, and Eagle Strike), with prices ranging from 18 gp up to 33 gp

The bone and fertile dirt were available in quantities of 20, so I imagine they will run out and then double in quantity like other reagents do. The Mysticism spell scrolls were available in quantities of 500.

some mysticism spells require dragon's blood, does this mean that they are making the rare very old necro reg dragon's blood into a common reg? the small green vile?

I've seen the critters in Destard dropping fairly large amounts of dragon's blood as loot. It's in vials and if I remember correctly, it's yellowish in color. I also think you have to skin the corpse to obtain it. It may be dropping on other creatures besides drakes, dragons, greater dragons, and wyverns, I just haven't noticed it yet.

It is a different color than the old rare collectible dragons blood.
They have however made baskets a craft-able item... Including the old Bushel ...so don't buy any that go on sale any time soon.....I recently bought one as I wasn't in the closed beta to know better...Jokes on me :(

Great news especially since I just went through most of my 30,000 tailor bones to fill my saved barbed kit, bless deed and horned kit bods while working a tailor to Legendary on a 3rd acct. Multitasking FTW.

I have alot of junk bods from idocs that I intend to fill, turn in and convert to 'good' bods and being able to buy tailor bones is a Godsend. Thanks UO Gods!

All the changes you mention are good news now I wish they'd make leathers weigh 1/10 or 1/3 of their real weight.

Besides not liking the new look of many things in KR, including bods, I would have loved to use KR to fill bods but the weight of leather tended to hold me back as in KR it took extra steps to load resources to make tailor items and it just wasn't worth the aggravation to me.

I craft inside a salvage bag since I have a bad habit of clicking make last and sometimes end up making items I don't need any longer and with one click of the salvage bag can recycle my mistake.

In 2D I can drag leather into the salvage bag straight from a chest in my house or from my bank box.

In KR I had to drag and drop the leather onto my char first and into my main backpack and THEN step 2 place leather from my pack into my salvage bag.

Had leather weighed 1/10 or 1/3 of what it currently weighs I might be fonder of KR.

As it is my chars can hold usually just under 400 stones of leather at one time, which goes fast if you're making leather tunics to fill bods and needs replacing often.

So I wish they'd consider lowering the weight of leathers as well.

Also in regards to bones maybe we could get lower requirements added to bone armor? I prefer bone arms over other style arms and I make those and they never ever have lower requirements for some reason.

Laced, you might be happy to know that the crafting gumps in the 2d client will apparently be seeing some nice changes: the addition of "Make Number" and "Make Max" options, the same as in the KR and Enhanced (SA) clients. Those changes are in the 2d client now that is used to access the Retribution shard.

I asked about those a few weeks ago.

Apparently, the SA version (both clients) of the "Make Number" and "Make Max" options are server-driven, instead of client-driven, as the devs said that they couldn't be implemented in the clients until the servers were published with SA.

As a former CompSci major, I could see why having these handled server-side would be beneficial, as it significantly reduce the number of checks passed back and forth between client & server (and therefore, use less bandwidth).

Oh come on now. Let's not get too lazy.
Black, this has nothing to with lazyness,it´s more like to compare with scripter,
they can save alot of time.
so if you do something in 3h they did in in 1h :(

damn cheating :(

Yes, it may save time for the average player, but not having to stop and make bank runs for resources, scripting would explode and finish off our already wounded economy.
