Is there still an issue with feeding the pet before the 1 week timer is up, having it reset to another week?

I've had it work fine, and I've had it reset my timer.

When in doubt, try to avoid it - why mess with what works?

I've had no issues. In fact, I trained up a GDrag during that week, even had him drop to "Extremely Happy" a couple times, and on the seventh day, to the hour, he bonded even while fighting the sphynx when I fed him. Not advocating that mind you...he was an extra so I wasn't worried about how fast he bonded, but I ran into no problems with feeding him multiple times before the week was up.
