Bond Skill???????

Hello People!!!

A couple of weeks ago i posted some doubts about being a tamer and, thanks to your answers, now i am mastering this wonderful skill
!!!

But yesterday, when i tamed my first Hiryu, something strange happened. When i tried to gave him some food, he refused to eat and a message told me that my pet wasn't able to bond with me, that i should raise my taming skill.

I have 98.7 in taming, but 19 % came from ring and bracelet, so my real skill is 79.7 - my question is: there is any difference between the taming skill and the "bond" skill? If the answer is yes, can i fix this problem by achieve 100 skill points, or must i have GM in real skill?

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't have to be real skill to tame/bond, my tamer cheats to get his skill (I think 28 taming from items). I don't get that you tamed it, but it won't eat. I figured if you couldn't bond it, you wouldn't be able to tame it. Hopefully the more knowledgeable tamers on the forum can shed some light on this.

Did you still have your taming jewelry on? You must have a displayed skill 98.7 for the hiryu to start the bonding process and again once you retrieve it from the stable and feed it the second time to bond. If you did have enough modified skill I have no idea why you got the message about not bonding.

It should bond at 98.7, but maybe you can get a few more gains then try putting on the jewels and trying to bond again if he's stubborn.

That said, please be very very careful if you try to take this beast out hunting. 98.7 will give you iffy control when hunting. Also, if you happened to forget the jewels eg after resurrection, you stand a high chance of that hiryu losing loyalty and eventually going wild on you. It's surprisingly easy to give 3-4 commands before realising your mistake, so please take care. You may well know this already, but as you're new to the taming profession I thought it worth mentioning

I'll just say that jewelry doesn't matter, only the displayed skill. We just bonded a couple kitsune on a friends necro with only 50 real taming and a bunch of skill items.
