Once again I have run up against the weird and wonderful obscenity filter UO is equipped with.

Considering Ultima is largely based upon the virtues I have come to terms with the fact that although under the GM, my guild has 8 patrons, one for each virtue, and I happen to be the Patron for Compassion I cannot have that title. Why? because 'ass' is contained within it.

Great! nonsense,: but there it is; the containment of the name of a small beast of burden within it keeps it forever out of reach.

My latest encounter is this. I am training a couple of new Battle Chickens and one looks quite promising and I decided to name him Warrior.

Right, all with me?, good cos now comes the odd part. Warrior is an unacceptable name.

What in Hells name is wrong with it?. No great obscenities within that I can see, It isnt the name of anything or anybody I am aware of.

Can anyone make sense of this cos I cant?.

Old news, the obscenity filter has always been stupid and people suggesting to use it are trolls. But as it's forced on the names you take, you can enjoy it anyway.
For names (guild, character, pets, guild titles) there are other words filtered, like OSI, you, and some NPC titles (for example warrior). It's old and has never been touched, so it may have had some sense in the past.
