Boat Race Challenge (Recurring Event)

Time: July 21st, 7pm EST.
Meeting place: Counselor's Hall in Britain.

Captain Hawkeye Pike challenges you to race against him! The race will be held on a given route. The event will be repeated and a valuable prize can be won:

The participants bet a decent amount of gold or nifty items on their victory. If Hawkeye Pike beats the landlubber, the prize goes into a pot. This way, the pot will accumulate and raise until someone manages to outsail the pirate! If someone beats Hawkeye, he will win the whole pot. The location of the race is determined by the pirate (the one who accepts the challenge will learn about it some time prior to the event). The location may change with every race.
Spectators are welcome, and they may place bets as well! May the fastest seafarer win!

The current status of the pot: 1,250,000 gold pieces!

Maybe an EM will appear to make referee?

We sailed Serpent's Hold! It was a 6-minute-race around the Serpent's Hold islands. Talen NightWolf was a worthy rival. He was only 5 seconds slower than me. The pot has now increased to 1.4 million gold coins.
