boarding thing is a pain!

the second you walk into a boss lobby you are bombarded with invites. You can't accept or start a boarding party without responding to a pending invite. It took me a good while to say no to all my invites and try to make my own boarding party.

As soon as I cleared one invite a new invitation to boarding party came up.

I know it's new and I have just got on after maintenance so everyone was trying it out, but I foresee a problem with kids just inviting all the bigger toons to board with them as soon as we walk in the door. I'm sure there will be a fix to this eventually. They will need to do an ignore button to invites or only invites from friends on you friends list or something.

The party places i went were not open yet.

Any input to this?

I'll have to say that you may be correct. I was on with Captain Comet this morning to test it out, and although I was standing up by the CFO doors, I received no less than 4 boarding group invitations from people standing down by the mints. Comet's 121, so I suspect that's the reason. With that toon, I don't go in mints any more. No reason to subject myself to the horrors within!

A couple friends and I were playing in cgc with the boarding thing. Kind of fun. I will not use it with non-friends though! She was leader - I was the only other one - she said go - we went into a middle 6. Can you imagine if that had been ceo? We'd both be sad toons... So, I will only say yes if one of my friends is the leader of the group

We eventually got sick of it (less than 5 minutes I'm sure - I run with a real patient bunch! lol) and we jumped on a cart normally and are finishing options now.

We just boarded for the cfo normally after a couple of toons tried to set up parties. Didn't really need it cuz there were only 8 of us anyway...

I think the complaint is that it's not how the groups work, its the fact that if you're a high laff or high suit toon and you enter a Cog HQ (you can be hit with this anywhere within the HQ), you'll be bombarded with boarding group requests the minute you appear and people see your laff, much like friend requests. I agree with the sentiment that it's going to get annoying after a while.

These toons are crazy! I've done three factories solo because despite crowds surrounding the elevator, nobody gets on with me. Not even those who've offered me to join their boarding parties! They all just stand around like fools. If I'm good enough to join their party, why wouldn't they just get on the elevator with me?!? Too crazy. When I finally got a couple toons to join me, we got half way through and I got stuck. I had to X out. No friends list, no schticker book - couldn't move. At least I could talk to the others and tell them the problem. I hope this doesn't become epidemic.

So far, not thrilled with the boarding parties.
