They are gargoyle flight paths. A gargoyle who is currently flying, is able to pass over the sparkling paths to reach another location. These paths sometimes lead to gargoyle only areas (Such as the unorus shrine near the holy city) or they are simply gargoyle shortcuts.
Please do not tell the Humans our Gargoyle secrets! The Elves shared their knowledge with the Humans and you see how they are treated by them now!
