[Discussion] Blue bread & its origin

Blue bread was obtained on the Sonoma shard from the Vesper Fel Counselor's Guild. A counselor forgot to "lock down" the bread. I am certain this happened before Trammel came along. At the time, myself and my guildies were all still Fel based. The blue bread was created for the event announcement below.

A guildmate told me about the blue bread. To this day, I still remember recalling to Vesper to get my own blue bread. I had a couple dozen of them and sold many on vendors or on ebay in rares packages. I kept 15 of them for my personal collection.

I mention this because I am sure everyone is just dying to know the origin (j/k). I'm really posting this because there's an auction that lists blue bread as a GL rare and I wanted to clear up the discrepancy.

There may be multiple origins of the blue bread. The hue I think matches the blue ale and the blue pouch which were items found on NPCs as I recall. There are a lot of hued NPC items around, some more than others. Some are worth less (red torches, purple leg of lamb, etc) and some significantly more than that (red liquor, blue ale, etc). I know when I get the blue bread in stock, I have it on my price list as 3m.

The blue bread - same hue - also came from those NPCs who sold wrong-hued items at Trammel's birth. I've heard Great Lakes as the source, some NPC in Yew. (These are the same ones Assia is describing.)

While we're on the subject, I'm still looking for a few others of these for my collection, if anyone has one around...

Nope. Never spawned on an NPC at Trammel birth. Never spawned on any Asian shard or GL. Like I said, it was a counselor faux pas on Sonoma in 1999. Trammel was created in 2000. I can see where there might be some confusion because the timing is so close. They came from Sonoma and never saw the light of day on any other shards until character transfers were introduced. I know this with 100% certainty.

bloodtile.lycaeum.net/ listed them among some of the others back in June of 2004 (the 18th-24th).
Tirashino Ura ( https://web.archive.org/web/20070104181243/http://www.bricities.com/tuo/data03.html ) included the blue bread in its list of Tram-births as far back as January of 2007.

While neither is quite as far back as shard transfers (publish 23 on March 25, 2004), June 2004 is very close. I can believe that blue bread happened twice, but imho, that only helps to explain why there are SO many blue breads around.

That is what I remember as well. Perhaps there were multiple origins, but it is the origin I remember as a young dragon
