this may need to be made into a five on friday or somthing, but what does blood oath transfer over as damage? i know it tranfers melee damage does it transfer the hit spell damage as well? what about bleed or strangle?

my biggest question is about death strike why does this not oath back? are there some guide lines as to what is not affected or is this a bug?

shouldnt we be able to oath back at least a percentage of all damage that is done to us?

anyway replys welcome.

It should reflect all damage.

It doesn't reflect the added dmg on a conc blow.

Don't know why.

Gray has figured it out.

All the elemental damage. It doesn't reflect non-elemental damages like pain spike, the first hit of concussion blow or bleed attack.
(note: armour ignore looks like non-elemental damage, but it's elemental damage that make all elemental resistences ineffective.

And Death Strike gives non-elemental damage. So it is not reflected by BO.

You can know this on The wonderful world of poison

thx now is this intended?

I suppose, probably not.

The current system of UO is a mixture of the things that were implemented in various periods by various devs. Devs themselves don't know precisely about the designs that other devs implemented, or sometimes the ones by himself.

About two years ago, when the direct damage was capped at 35 by PvP, devs didn't know at first that Armour Ignore was not the direct damage, but the elemental damage that makes all elemental resistences 0, so Armour Ignore was dropped through this restriction, which made PvPers on this board extremely mad.

So, I think it(the way how BO reflects) was not intended and implemented only so as for it to work well at least, or even if it was implemented with an intention, that intention is not remembered by anyone.

Yes, it is and no, you are not wrong.

I suppose that this damage is not capped at 35 because it is not delivered directly by the melee itself but as a damage added afterward. Besides, this big damage is not inevitable, if PC doesn't move more than 5 tiles within 5 seconds.
