Blockades

Aedon Durreah

Village of Aegis

Stratics Legend
It has to be one of the funniest things I have seen in some time.

The hour was late so I thought it would be safe to slip into the Rest and pick up a few things I needed. Taking the secret passage way, I arrived in the small room to the rear of the castle. Moving with care, I made my way to the hallway and into the large sitting room above the Rest. All was quiet, so I moved towards the stairs and if any would have been lying in wait for me I would surely now be captured or dead.

The stairway was utterly blocked!

Crates and chairs piled high blocking the passage between the floors, and above it all, James’ little flag. It would seem that the nation of Pondavia was expanding their influence. This was not at all going to sit well with the Hand. I stood laughing for a few moments, and then headed around to the other staircase. I figured to walk into the courtyard and enter the Knights Rest through the front door. As I rounded the corner the stairway came into view and there, as in the room was a blockade topped by a small flag.

It would seem that James has annexed the top floor of the castle and aside from working out a deal for ease of passage, there is little to be done. No one in their right mind would touch a blockade erected by a pooka. It is hard telling what hell fire and brimstone might be contained within.

With no other way into the Rest, I opened my book, and touching a glowing rune, appeared in front of the castle. My hope was that he had not also annexed the courtyard. It was free of flags, so I entered the Rest and going to a small concealed chest in the corner removed a couple of items placing them in my pack. Opening my book again, I turned the page and laying my hand on another rune, traveled home.
