Where the item is reverted to its original name by using a trick. Not saying thats the case in this item since I have no idea but that is the trick I think they were referring to.

Theres a vendor on Atl in the east corner of luna that has all kind of stuff like that... a winch, bottle, mushroom, flask, pig iron. Most items keep the same color as the real item except the winch. If I knew it would say winch forever I might buy one.. it looks cool.

i have one of those winches for deco. Had it for probably 4-6 months and it still says winch. if it is a bug then it is a permanent one.

I think for a short while [maybe even still] it was just by stealing them from someones pack like the old feather and arrows from pettles and thorns.

Its a bugged item. I own several other types from this bug for decoration purposes, but absolutely not a "rare" and that one should be able to still be created. Sorry Markess. The name change is permanent and they may indeed become rare depending on how many have been made and -if- the method is ever fixed. It has been around for years and to my knowledge no attempt made by EA to fix it. Perhaps hold onto it.
