I heard someone this weekend saying that tasty treats can no longer bond a bane dragon. Is this true?

I haven't heard anything like that, and it hasn't appeared in any of the update notes. Perhaps someone who had trouble bonding a bane presumed it was the food rather than something they did (like feeding too early). I'd try the tasty treats and see what happens.
