Black Ingots (not shadow)

I found 3 black ingots that are not shadow ingots. When highlighted they say 3 ingots, Do these have any value? This is on cats shard by the way. If my memory is right these ingots came from a time when Christmas coal was being used to make black armor.

is it black, is it the color of shadow which is a deep grey? I'm no expert on ore and coal, but from what I've read and been told coal is darker than shadow. So if the ore is the same color as shadow ore but is not labeled as shadow ore, then it would be old ore before ore types were named.

It looks exactly the same as Shadow does so it must be old ore then.

I remember when the game first came out back in 97 shadow ore was black ore, not shadow.

shadow ore, and coal are not true black.
