say you buy a castle for 30mil or + that
can you put all the checks into bags? and add those to the trade window?

what if the guy kills you, will those bags of checks stay in the body or on your ghost?

or would I have to just drag them into the window and somehow the receiver is suppose to know how many items are in the window?

The checks are blessed so you shouldn't have to worry about getting killed and them stolen.

Place the checks in a bag, put the bag in the trade window (house seller must initiate trade) and then 2x click the bag in the trade window so the buyer can see the contents. Confirm when each side is ready and you should be good.

Blessed items in other bags or other containers within your main bag simply go back to you main bag upon death. If you're in any facet except fel, you shouldn't have to worry about it the being killed by the player.

Just pay cash for it. That's what everyone else does.

The real problem with that is castles cost 800m to over 1b on atl. You can't even dream to trade it that way because you can't have enough items on you. We have posted over and over about not being able to securely buy large items.

I had to buy 8 100m ingots to get mine. Now, I don't suggest this method at all, but it was the only way in the world for me to get one. Just about the only secure way to do this is with a trusted broker. Even that method is only as effective as the broker you pick, and even a good person sometimes will be tempted to steal something worth 500.00 plus in cash in a game where there is absolutely no repercussions other than some yelling in chat.

You would think ea/mythic would give us some method of doing this. ANYTHING can be exploited, but this is a serious problem in game and we need help here.

They don't even allow us to pay cash for things in-game (unless we give it to them) so no one can really suggest that you do that since you could lose an account if you got caught.

Good Luck

Don't pay absurd amounts of gold for an in-game item. Castles, really aren't all that, I've had one, the decorating possibilities are very limited, you can't use all the space it takes up, you can't customize it. Frankly it's just not worth the amount people are selling them for. Well, in my opinion, at any rate.

:( Castles only cost 30M?
I just paid 300 :(

The seller and I agreed on a neutral party we both trusted to "hold" the gold until the house was traded.
I purchased 3 runes off of her vendor priced 100M each.
She told him she had the gold in her possession.
He traded the house to me.
She then purchased 3 runes off of HIS vendor for 100M each.
The trade was done.

Yes, he and she could have gotten together and scammed me out of the gold.
Yes, she could have scammed us both out of the 300M.
Yes, she and I could have gotten together and scammed him out of the castle.
Fortunately none of that happened.
It's why brokers rely so heavily on their reputations and word of mouth. The game really should find a way to make large trades like this safer.
Until then we have to rely on the few we find to trust with our gold and realize that sometimes we do get scammed.

Its really not all that hard to do safely for both parties... even in the amount of 800mil+. We have an unreal amount of items in game that are worth over 10mil. Most transfer tokens sell for around 20 mil. Lets say you agree to pay 800 mil for a castle. You can not put 800 mil into a trade window. But you CAN put 40 Transfer Tokens in a trade window. The recipient can then sell those transfer tokens for 20 mil a piece and boom... a clean 800 mil deal.

Now it will be a little more work trying to establish a fair market price for the items used... but I think the extra work is well worth the safety to both parties. When I bought my castle, I payed something like 75mil, 4 transfer tokens, 4 Advanced Char tokens, An event robe, an Orny, and Inquis, and a couple of other things that were worth a good amount. The total value was around 350 mil. When He had the items and I had the castle, I then bought each item back for the agreed upon price. Now, if I had tried to screw him and took off after I had the castle, then all he had to do was sell the valuable items to other players and he would still have all his money. If he had tried to scam me and taken off with my items once we had traded, well I still had the castle and all that gold I could just go to luna and buy pretty much everything back. But it was easier for both of us to hold up our end of the bargain then for either of us to try and scam the other. And it was all done in one clean trade window with no risk, no broker fees, and no hassle.

Again, it will take a little extra time to agree on what the items used are worth. But you will not have to worry about getting scammed, and that is priceless.

Now here we have someone that thinks outside of the box. If you worked for me I'd give you a pay increase. :thumbup1:

I paid 20mil for mine 6 months ago :D. Pretty Easy to stick 10 mil in 2 bags so they are spaced out so the buyer can see them all ;). Trading items for a expensive castle and buying them back sounds like the best idea. If you dont buy the stuff back, the person still gets the items and can sell them for whatever price they want and if you do buy your items back, well the castle seller gets his/her gold, win/win situation.
