I don't think using a second account is a good idea. It has been a while since I've done one, but I believe he has a special attack that inflicts lethal poison to anyone within line of site.
When I used to do him, I used my old sampire build that had healing on him. When the poison went off I would use the pillar to block line of sight and get back to full and then go back at it.
I think now either stone form dexer or wraith thrower would be pretty sweet, but I don't really play either of those templates so I'm not 100% sure.
