Best template for caster spawns

I frequently will do champ spawns with my necro/mage and completely mow through the 1st phase of any spawn when fighting melee mobs. However, the 2nd phase when I am taking on melee and casters alike the template is rough and cannot handle the multi caster output.

What would be the best template I could create for handling the other phases. I am told a whammy is best for taking on the boss once you get them to pop, but will a whammy be able to handle the phases with the casters.

Please enlighten me on templates that will be capable of handling this issue. Also.. if possible any other guided information would be greatly appreciated.

Now that you can have an imbued slayer weapon for every spawn, there's no reason you couldn't take an ABC archer and solo every spawn up to (and sometimes including) the champ.

The other templates I take to spawns are the necro-mage and the tamer (doesn't matter what sort).

But I still prefer my archer.

Vamp form on a swamp dragon, tossing up Evasions when needed. If you get blood-oathed Curse Weapon + Vamp form should be able to leech through the extra damage.

Assuming you have SS, since you mentioned using Wraith form.
