Best Supply of Enchanted Essence

So what do you guys use to get enchanted essence? or what do you farm to get it? It is the only ingredient I have trouble keeping stocked.

I just collect stuff and unravel it. Used to leave most of the jewelry behind but now some of it makes essence. I don't have any system but also don't have much essence. I am working at getting enough to do the quests to get me a 120 scroll. How much is that by the way?

Hi there,

you need to do the 115 quest 10 times.
And you need 50 essences each time,making it 500 total essenses.

I get enough essenses just from the items that didnt make it to relics.

I get most of mine 10-20 at a time per each bag of loot I carry out of tomb of kings and lava ellies,,, not sure if U consider this cheap but you can make them for about 700 gps per by unraveling gold EQ daggers(135 ingots at about 20k gps) made with a shadow runic(cost about 25-30k) at own forge and get 5-15 residue and 70-75 enchanted essences, so 70 EE's at a cost of 50k equals 714 gps per.(get lucky and get 75 and cost drops to 660 per). Might be cheaper using other ingots, not sure, I just happened to have tons of gold ingots on hand and 2 relatively useless bags of shadow runics collecting dust. As added bonus I was unraveling with a new artificer I'm making and was getting 0.7 to 1.5 gains per bag unraveling them at my forge with 65-75 imbuer. Might get more than 75 if using 120 imbuer at queen's forge????

Just tested 2 bags(45 EACH) of gold daggers made from shadow runics and 2 bags(50 each) of gold daggers made with dull runic unraveling at queen's forge with Legendary artificer. The shadows produced 78 and 82 EE's and no residue. The dulls produced residue/essence at 74/44 and 64/56 for 138/100. With paying 30k for shadow runic and 20k for dull runic and 150 gps per gold ingot, shadow runics give EE's at 625 gps per and dull runic give EE's at 830 gps per.

Of course, I'm not inclined to burn runic hammers as I still need ingots to do BODs, but I can't argue that logic...Heck, I might put that to work a bit.

I have been doing a less efficient means of collecting items to unravel.

I simply hit various dungeons depending on if I'm going for virtue arties or ilshenar arties. Due to weight concerns, I loot only items that have 4 or 5 properties, with the exception of 3 decently weighted properties. I put those items in a bag, and return to my house and stock a chest with the loot. When the chest has between 70-100 items in it, I'll haul it to the queen's forge.

Using this method gets me about 40-60 essence a run with about double the numbers in residue. After a Medusa run and a couple of Champ spawns, I managed to get a couple relics from non arty loot.

Not as efficient as above, but I enjoyed roving around and seeing what mischief I could get into along the way...

I do that too. I am so happy there is some use for the junk we used to throw away In addition I kill ore elementals for ore and whatever else I get from them I unravel. So I might go to Shame or do the Orc brute thing or mine with a gargoyles pickaxe or whatever.
