Best PVP Crossbow -- Opinions & Advice

I have been gone from the game the last 3 years and a lot has changed in my absence. I would like to get some recommendations for a good Heavy X-Bow to use for PvP as well as killing monsters. I want to be able to knock people off their mounts...

My character is a Ninja Archer and currently has a Hunter's Headdress, Stormgrip, Battle of Essence, Leggings of Bane, and a Jackal's Collar...

Opinions?
Advice?
Criticisms?

if you want to use bolts.
a heavy xbow with 30+ ssi for dismount.
a reg crossbow with 30+ ssi for finishing them off.
concussion blow and mortal strike really work well.
if they run switch to a repeating xbow for moving shot.

if you want to use arrows.
Composite Bow with 30+ SSI for armor ignore and moving shot.
Magical Shortbow with 30+ SSI for speed and disrupting mage spells. works really good if it has fireball, as there is a delay with the fireball hit and it seems to be about in the middle of your 1.25 swing delay.

Indeed that's my favorite combo......

Knock them off their mount or out of animal form first with my heavy.... and a good heavy should have as much SSI as you can get at least 30.... also needs HCI if your not at the cap with your suit.... as if there is one thing you don't want to do when you reveal to nail someone that's miss.... DI is a good bonus.... but not totally necessary.... also if it has some sort of lower defence on it.... Balanced is awesome.... would be nice to have either Hit lightning or hit fireball nice added bonus.... But SSI and HCI are a must... IMO...

And then a good crossbow to concuss them with.... and a mortal... nothing like popping someone off their mount and slamming them with a mortal then finishing with a good concuss.... again you want speed..... at least 30SSI... again high HCI if you don't have it in your suit.... Mana leech on either is nice.. Balanced is a great perk.... any hit lightning, hit fireball added bonus... hit lower defence is good too.... Damage increase is a good thing to have.

Leeches aren't worth anything in PvP. Especially on ranged weps.

Thats a tall order to fill, and Im not too sure but i believe 6 is max on properties,

Id agree though, that would easily sell for over 100 mil except make mine a Regular bow, not a heavy, paras and mortals all the way, except that bow has to have hit lightning instead of fireball so as not to free them from their impending doom.

Oh get rid of the essence of battle and go instead with the Ring Of Vile

According to the play guide, which is up to date with regard to this, four is the maximum number of properties for a crafted bow. For a bow found as loot that may be five. Either way, that bow is an impossibility... ;)

I could be wrong, but I also don't think the velocity properties is a to hit property...

How about core suit requirements? Any required arties like hunters? I would imagine max hci and as much mr as possible, what else? Max LMC?

Yes LMC and MR are great for any charector really. I dont concern myself with DCI much because I feel that as an archer I should avoid close combat.
As far as core suit requirements Id say 45 or so DI(can get that additonal 55 on weapon), although Id choose LMC over DI on a suit anyday, Full 70s of course. about 30 or so HCI on suit. Try this route Hunters, Jackals, stormgrip, totem of the void, and Rune beetle carapiece and ring of the vile as core pieces, then get some legs and arms with awesome resists and some stamina increase, little lmc and MR2
Youll also be able to score a decent bracelet, I personally use the resiliant bracer to boost magicresist up 15 points, the phys resist is nice and the HPR and DCI, but you may have to find something with 10+ HCI, DEX and STR increases with DI or LMC depending on what you have capped and what you need. If you decide to go with med on your archer(which I highly recommend)
sub the jackals for a good leather or medible gorget with Stamina and MR2.

The Crimson Cinture and Quiver of Infinty should be obvious additions to that suit as well as vet robes and snake skin boots to help alleviate the need for some resists although it is limited.(I benifitted from the use of both)

EXCLUDING the wood properties and the exceptional damage bonus, is the maximum properties a heatwood fletching kit can make 4 or 5?

Its amazing how many people have very little clue about crafting.

This bow is impossible.

Heartwood kit gives 4 props(most possible by any fletching runic).

Balanced (1 property)
50% DI (1 property)
50 Fireball (1 property)
50 Velocity (1 property)
40 SSI (1 property)

Now that is 5 properties. You CAN get extra props from wood and from EX made items.

Lets start with 40% SSI - this is ONLY possible with ASH wood since the runic can give up to 30% and Ash would add 10%.

So its assumed this bow is made with ash.

With that said, the max DI is 40% (35% from EX, 5% from arms lore).

So, your bow is impossible - this is possible with ash wood and heartwood kit:

Balanced
40% Damage Increase
Hit Fire Ball 50%
Hit Velocity 50%
Swing Speed Increase 40%

Personally tho I don't care for pots so I'd prefer :

Hit Lower Def 50%
40% Damage Increase
Hit Fire Ball 50%
Hit Velocity 50%
Swing Speed Increase 40%
