Best Pet Healing Macro

Within UO 2D, I see a macro for healing yourself, "Bandage Self," that works great with the Targeting System. The only ones I see that will work for your pet are, "Bandage Target" and "Last Object-Last Target", but they don't appear to be tied to the Targeting System. Neither of these seem to work like the "Bandage Self" macro though. Are these the only choices and what do you use for your own pets?

I use UOAssist. I have two heal pet macros bound to my ctrl-shift-z and ctrl-shift-x keys, and I just reset the targets depending on the pet or pets I have out. I don't use packs so two is all I ever need. I also have my greater heal spell on ctrl-shift-w, and cure and arch cure on ctrl-shift-e and ctrl-shift-r, so everything is operated easily by one hand and using vet and greater heal is very simple and fast to do.

I used to use UO Assist for macros which would be set as use item type (bandages) then target the pet. I'd have insert and home set to my 2 main vet macros and just change the target whenever I took a different pet from the stable.

Now I'm not using UOA I've ended up working a solution through the 2d macros. As yet untested in KR:

Macro 1:-

SelectNext: Follower
Bandage target

That works fine for 1 pet, but if you have 2 pets, hitting that macro just alternates between vetting pet A and vetting pet B. If I wanted to vet pet A twice I'd need this macro:

SelectNext: Follower
SelectNext: Follower
Bandage target

I've managed to hunt with those macros so far.

I haven't tried a pack of 5, but the same principle would apply. You'd just need to get used to knowing how many pets to "cycle" through when you wanted to vet a specific beastie.

In addition, create a macro to select the last target and vet it, then if pet C is targeted, you'd use your "cycle" macro to vet C the first time, then the "last target one" throughout the fight.

I hope that all makes sense!

I do not have UOA.

I do have 2 Logitech G15 Keyboards.

I do not believe what I do is ... illegal. (Hint some one let me know?)

I have these macros bound to hot keys.

UseSkill Peacemaking
------------------
UseSkill AnimalTaming
WaitForTarget
TargetLast
------------------
UseLastObject
WaitForTarget
TargetLast
------------------
CastSpell Invisible
WaitForTarget
TargetSelf
------------------

What I will do to tame is hot key the Peacemaking from offscreen (when vs Greater Dragons) run in and target the MoB.

If successful then I will run up to the Mob (dismount if a GD) and hit the Logitech G key to repeat the above TameHotKey at 1 second intervals. I will lead tame at this point untill it is time to exit stage right (Hit the G Key to turn off the repeat). If I get a Tame Cycle, I hit the Logitech G key to turn off the repeat and hit the InvisSelf Hotkey.

When Veting, I will initially click the bandage pile then target the pet then just hit the HotKey for the Veting as listed above.

I am going to change to your PetVeting macor though

Perfectly legal. The question has been asked before, and G15 keyboards, with all their functionality, are perfectly legit. I love my G15.

I use F9,10,11,12 for healing. F9 is bandaid and target is first pet. F10 is heal and target first pet. F11 is bandaid and target is 2nd pet and F12 is heal for 2nd pet. Send pets in and hold your 4 fingers over those 4 keys, mega healing
.

I have been trying the macros and was wondering if there is a way to turn off the display of the brackets that shows which follower is selected? I realize that the Targeting System itself has to be on, but the brackets aren't really necessary while fighting with just one pet.

alt-o for options. Top right tab (mouse options). Bottom option check "Disable New Targetting System".

I think that also disables the target next follower bit with it though

I'm sure there's a way of switching off or changing the displayed "thingies" but I can't remember where I found it

Have no idea. All I know is I never liked those stupid target brackets, so I've always had them disabled.
