Been back a month now, more PvP-ish Questions...

I'm gonna jump straight in

- Do Slayer properties on spell books have an effect on Necro spells?

- What is the actual formula for how intelligence increases spell damage? I've been juggling some suit components around and have a choice of having:

1.) 36 LMC without the totem of the void

2.) 40+ LMC with totem of the void

If don’t use the totem of the void, I'm thinking of using 'My Book' for the int bonus. Will just using the My Book make a difference - is it really going to be noticeable?

- Human or elf for PvP? Most people say human but I don’t get why? Surely the extra 5 energy resist is helpful seeing as lighting is used quite frequently in PvP group and duel fighting.
I'm running a scribe mage and I put my extra 20 points in Focus, this means I wouldn’t get a huge bonus from jack of all trades (unless im missing something)?

- What is the practical knock-on effect of diminishing returns with mana regen? Is there a sweet spot to hit for, I've managed about 8 on my suit now. I could potentially go higher at the loss of some LMC...

- I've used a scrappers with extra mods to fill the holes in my suit... I notice a lot of mages running with a DCI weapon (presumably with + magery mods somewhere) with high hit spell mods. Are they doing this for the extra damage from the weapon or purely to get the DCI? I managed to get my DCI elsewhere but I'd like use a weapon on my mage, for old times' sake if nothing else... I don’t see how I can fit the +3 FCR if I go for the crystalline ring. Is the trade off either be reliant of faction items (which I'd rather not do considering the point system abuse) or buy a +20 magery \ 3 FCR ring for twenty billion million gold?

- Lastly, I am desperate for a PvP focused guild on Europa to knock about with. I don’t know anyone anymore (unless they are all hiding). Any takers ?

Ok lots of questions to answer.

Necro spells are unaffected by they Slayer prop (unless something has changed in the last 3 months)

having more than 40 lmc is sort of a waste...but it would be better to get 40 lmc than the slight int bonus you get from my book.

The Human or elf thing is really an up to you sort of thing. JoaT is useful for things other than just focus, but personally if you are playing in a group and already have the 20 focus covered, the extra 20 mana is nice.

I can not answer the MR question, the more you have the better but LMC would be more important.

you can get the normal crystaline ring and the inquisitors gloves for the 3 fcr, they use a mage weapon to offset the need for wrestling most of the time (having the extra dci on it is of course nice also) and you can only get +15 on a ring for magery so you would have to find the other +5 somewhere else.

Can not help you with the Europa guild hunt but try posting on the Europa board, might get more help with that there.

Human is best for PvP.

The JoAT is key for more than just focus. It's also important that you can cast spellweaving spells. Tracking is also priceless. Getting off the occasional hide when you run next to a house... the list goes on. Plus elves are just ugly.

Except it goes down to 65 only where as on human it would go to 60 >.> so not really wasted, since having 65 is still better than having 60 .

Lynk gave the best examples of why to go human tho.
