There's some event items locked down outside the Wisp Dungeon in Ilshenar. A rough look seems to relate to the Blue Wisp events. Is this a known event?

I don't know what items you're talking about, but the Wisp Dungeon has been used in several EM Events and manufacturer-run events within the last few years, the vestiges of several of them remain.

So odds are what you're seeing is some leftover.

There are no currently active events. There's an EM "Royal Spy" event every Tuesday pretty much, and sometimes there is an EM-run "Royal Guard" event.

In a Five on Friday, the UO team said the next event cycle would revolve around Magincia somehow. That, however, was said before the big layoff of this past week.

There's a book just outside the entrance (about the threats posed by Gargoyle race, elves, etc.), a body and book called "a letter" just inside (about talking to wisps), and there are two books in the room where the Red Wisp is that hint to a word required. Of course that word has been discovered, but I don't remember those books in that room before. Never saw the body or other books either.
