Battle Lust mod

Have any of you tried battle lust on your whirlwind/hit area samp weapons? Is it useful or just a waste of a property slot? Also, does the DI bonus from it stack with the 300 di cap or is it figured into the 300 di cap? I would think whirlwind and hit area would keep you flagged to alot of critters making the 90% DI bonus easy to maintain. Any thoughts?

I've tried it on a single monster in this thread here http://stratics.com/community/threads/120-chiv.286917/ It seemed to add but I was near or at cap so I am not 100% sure.
