Yepp, there are some glitches with the invasion for sure. That being one of them. Another, if you play a tamer that is an enemy of the Ophids or Meer they will attack you fast, but when you invis they just stand around looking at your pet. They will never flag on it and vice versa. Even though I play a tamer I like it, no insta meat shield, makes you have to actually work some lol.

Yes... provo does not seem to work on the invasion mobs. Disco works fine and I have not tested Peace because it is on a soul stone buried away in a chest somewhere. Still fun so far though.
