After starting up auctions on LS we thought we had everything all set up and going good, that is until the children decided to start playing.
One "KID" in particular decided to use a hack of logging off on the lower floor and making it up to the second, I won't go into further detail on how this is done for sake of promoting exploits but that has since been fixed, anyways I have since had to go into customize mode [which I might add was a pain] and fixed that problem.
Now the problem I am having is.. this person I speak of has since been banned BUT being banned he can still pull my vendor from the house. I have banned my partner to see how he is doing this and we come to realize that being banned he can not buy from the vendor but can still pull the vendor down. Is there a way to stop this? Just seems to me that anyone banned from a house should not be allowed to even touch the house sign to pull the vendor in question.

I don't think theres a way to stop it, Have you tried calling a GM on him? It must be some sort of harrasment if he does it continuously.

Yes he was doing it continuously, everytime the vendor came back to me he would pop it back out of the house. Several of us paged but by the time the auction was over I myself was still que 6 or soemthing like that. A little disappointing to say the least.

Hrm, if someone is able to log out in a house they aren't friended to and not get booted out of it upon logging back in then that is a bug and should be reported.

I know of the exploit they're talking about, which is just an old factions trick. My house was designed specifically with it in mind, with Tina Small verifiying it's security for me. I was shocked the first time I saw it done. It does indeed pop you up to the next floor above.

I'd always wondered in what exact situations will a vendor be pulled down. Happens sometimes to my vendors in a Tram shop. Empty ban list.

Does anyone know?

Anyone can access the house sign and select to view a vendor, at which point the vendor will move to their position (outside by the house sign)

Now that you mention it, that does seem to coincide with alot of the times it happens. But it doesn't seem to happen everytime when folks view vendors from the signboards (I test on my neighbour's vendors as well).

Is there some further trigger? Such as it only happens if the vendor/goods were modified within the past 1 minute AND someone use the house sign to browse vendors?

Hm, I am not sure if there is a further trigger. Or perhaps just a bug that prevents it from happening occasionally? Everyone knows this is not science and things do tend to have instances where they do not work as intended.

Sorry can not be more helpful than that, since I do not know. =\

Actually, most DO know that it is science, Computer Science. Computer programming falls under the category of Bachelor of Science in every college I've ever seen. :gee:
