There needs to be an easier way to get blackrock stew. These pets are pretty worthless without it, and 20 crystalline blackrock is ridiculous.

it is now a quest for 20 power crystals for one stew. When the Bane camp moved to Spirituality moongate the quest for stew changed. Power crystals will be on Meer, Golems, Exodus Minions, Exodus Overseers, etc. (minions and overseers are good to fight since they often drop 2 power crystals per)

just buy the crystals. I have a bag of 53 for 30k on LS by the bagball ct., S. of luna.
buy 'em so I don't have to throw them away next week.

Um... I don't know what you're trying to do with it, maybe use it in PvP which I've never tried myself, but the blackrock stew is only used to recharge the poison blast at range, which it will get off maybe once when closing into combat; but it still uses the same poison damage in melee, even when spamming it's peckish. And considering it has twice as many hit points as any other 3 slot tame, can be ridden, does more poison damage than a Rune Beetle, and can with Veterinary tank even Greater Dragons (so you can use it in combination with a Mare), it's an absolute PvM monster and probably the most worthwhile tame out there.

And it can be fed with Tasty Treats to make it happy at least. So my only wish is that it stopped complaining so much about being peckish; because I've been going to EM events without even bothering with a second pet... just mount up, chase events, and pop an energy vortex if you feel like one!

Um... Yes, In PvP. The ranged poison is the only reason it's any good in PvP. Why should I have to collect 20 power crystals for my pet to use something?

Bump.. anyone know the location of the npc that trades 20 power crystals or 20 blackrock stew for blackrock stew?

there should be a yellow named NPC at he bane camp by spirituality moongate, I believe it still requires you to have 2000 bane loyalty before you can get the quest. If you have no bane loyalty, well you will wanna farm your crystals off the Meer since they are the only current way to gain bane loyalty (3 points each so stick with warriors/easier meer)

if you dont have the loyalty you can try to find someone who does and have them do the quest with your crystals.

(single click self, and select Loyalty Rating that will list any and all loyaltys, except the fishing one)

I never bothered with the Bane wars so my fully trained Bane Dragon is perma peckish. I certainly aint gonna bother to go get loyalty to one side just to get some stew so he is doomed to be forever hungry.

Not entirely tho cos i do give him the occasional tasty treat and that seems to keep him happy enough.

Any loss of combat ability is marginal it seems, he is aggresive and strong enough to keep me happy.

If the stew is made easier to obtain I will feed him but if it aint hes going to stay hungry.

If I recall right Cal did mention that sometime after the "war" was over the food for the bane dragon would be made somewhat easer to obtain. Whether this means they will change its diet to do this is unknown. Keep feeding the treets and wait if your not in the mood to hunt down power crystals.

I have the loyalty, the crystals.. but still i cant find the NPC. I've checked spirituality bane camp (on LS & ATL) but no yellow npc.

There is a yellow NPC on magincia moongate, but thats for a very different quest.
So maybe power crystals are useless now?

Treats don't replenish poison charges.

quite strange, went to check for the npc on sonoma, and hes gone now. Also it seems the camp has grown, seems theres 1 or 2 more gypsy wagon camps there. Something must be about to go down...

I checked spirituality bane camp on LS too - Nada yellow npc. The yellow npc's have been gone from the Ophid camp for at least a week or 2.
Maybe those parts are over? Don't expect an announcement
