Bane Dragon gone missing ..?

On Formosa, it's been missing for over a week now, I've checked the spawning area near the Slasher of veils everyday n searched high n low in the whole of Stygian Abyss to no avail. I've even paged a GM which then told me I should try reporting as a bug which I have done over a couple of days now. Just wondering where it could've vanished off to... any clues?

Well, to answer my own question, I guess they no longer spawn anymore since publish 71, heard an EM on our shard say so, luckily I tamed one for meself though

Interesting. I didn't see that in the publish notes. I've taken my last bane dragon off my vendor, waiting for the dust to settle.

Yeah, when the Bane left town so did their Dragons. I have been wondering what market value is on them now seeing as how they no longer spawn. I have a few good/great ones I am sitting on until I see how the prices do.

For people coming back to UO after some time - and for people who want to try UO for the first time it's not very fun to learn that certain pets (bane dragon, dread war horse) and items (conjurer's garb, conjurer's trinket) are no longer available and thus hilariously expensive. I have seen dozens of people who were coming back after several years and most of them weren't staying very long. There are lots of reasons, but one of the reasons is that precious pets and items are no longer available.

Not meant as a rant, the current Clean Up Britannia is a good thing because of those suits are available again (even though nobody wants them ). And another good example is: Restarting the turkey event last year. So more people had a chance for that harvester's blade ( Harvester's Blade - UOGuide, the Ultima Online encyclopedia ).

I would love to see more items and pets coming back to town. Oh I'd even love to use my Clean Up Britannia points for a dread war horse and the conjurer's items. 45 bless deeds are enough already.

...wondering what market value is on them now seeing as how they no longer spawn.

Saw two offered at the Magincia Market recently (one on LS and one on Chessy), and both were in the single digit millions. The curious part will be how many stocked their stables with Bane Dragons who didn't already have Dreads. If it was widely enough accepted the Bane Dragons would be around long-term, and few were hoarded in stable, the lower market availability might raise prices to the upside.
