Bane Dragon and Blackrock Stew...

I am in the process of training Bane Dragon w/ V bite and A/I. I am confused on how exactly Blackrock Stew effects the Bane Dragon? My questions are:

What skill/skills, exactly, are gained from feeding the bane dragon the stew?

How often do I need to feed the stew to the bane dragon to keep the skills active?
