The Bane Chosen Repelled from Britain
A United force of Ophidians, Meer, Britannian Defenders and Courageous Citizens repulsed the forces of the Bane Chosen from the Capital City of Britain early this morning. The siege of the City was long and arduous with both sides taking heavy causalities.
The Meer established a barricade spanning from the Britain Moongate to the West Bridge, and provided the brave men and women of Britannia the opportunity to go on the offensive, while providing a safe haven for retreat should the Bane Chosen organize a counter attack.
The Northern Approach to the City was patrolled by allied Ophidian Forces, cutting off any chance for escape, as well as denying any aid the Bane Chosen hoped to receive from the outside.
The Eastern Approach was fortified by the Defenders of Britannia, sealing the Bane Chosen in a deadly siege where they would have to fight a war on three separate fronts.
The Bane Chosen held their ground from their fortified positions within Britain, undaunted, led by Bane Dragon Knights and monstrous Guardians. At times, the invading army of the Bane Chosen appeared to be on the brink of breaking through the allied barricades. Only to be driven back by the citizens of Britannia who filled the gaps of the thinning ranks and bravely charged into the enemy lines forcing them to retreat.
As dawn broke over the City of Compassion on the 12th day of furious battle, the bell of courage rang out, signaling Victory for the Allied Britannian Forces! The Bane Chosen are defeated and the City of Britain free once more.
Although the Bane Chosen were thwarted in their first attempt to take the capital, it is likely they will attempt to conquer Britain again. Already attacks have been made on the cities of Vesper and Skara Brae with Vesper falling into enemy hands.
The allied forces are organizing a counter attack to retake Vesper as well as preparing for the Bane Chosen’s next attack. Keep an ear open for the Town Criers, who will pass along information as soon as it becomes available,
