Someone (think it was Basara but not sure) mentioned that the Bandage Summoning talisman had the chance to be one that would produce "backwards" bandages. I got one this morning that produced an odd bandage and was wondering if this particular one is the one that was mentioned. Here's a pic of the bandages:

Thanks!

that is the backwards one in question.... it is also useless with the "bandage self" targeting macro (non UOAssist) as the game doesnt recognize it. Works fine with a last object macro.... however right now... the 250 points are worth it for the spring cleaning. lol.

Any idea what one of those would be worth? From what I remember reading, they seemed to be quite rare, and as such, quite valuable.

I don't think they are that uncommon, I use the bandage summoning tail's a lot so I burn through about 1 a week. About 1 in 5 seem to have the bandages that way. Very annoying IMO since they don't work with any bandage macro.

If they really are that rare/valuable then I must be very lucky.

you do recharge them? A rune switch will recharge any of the Talimans.

Conner,

When I was playing, the Bandie talies that could be equipped and "owned" (blessed" for a person) were the ones worth quite a bit. The normals sold at a semi-decent price (primarily to PvP'rs), but the other sold significantly higher. Hold onto it until you get a good handle on current market value. :p

Oop, as for the backwards part of that - many of mine produced backwards bandies. Some people used them and seperated them into stacks of two and sold them as the "rare, old-school" bandies (ripping people off because they aren't). They made the old school backward bandies worthless (since you can no longer tell which is which) and are only "valuable" to people who want to screw over others.

The "owned by" rules still apply to the bandie tallies though and they have legitimate worth.

I still don't own one of these normal-bandie-producing tallies. I get the green, backwards things.

They all suck, though, all these bandie tallies. 10 bandies, what the hell. Magery and necro have LRC, chivalry has tithing and LRC, but my archer's GM healing and anatomy are worth a tally that spits 10 bandies and then has to be equipped for 60 seconds to spit more.

And the friggin bandies that come out are backwards. Legal UO tools won't pick them up and use them in your macros.

Thanks a heck of a lot you know? heh.

I use the Bandage Tali's a lot on my tamer, and have always on multiple ones got the same green ones that you have shown. They don't work with bandage macro but they're better than nothing til you can get the baddie down that stole yours lol.

Hey that makes me wonder. LBC, lower bandage cost. Maybe cap it at like 50 percent? Might be kinda cool, since everyone else has something similar. I see no problem with it since aids are so easy to make/get and cheap as dirt.

But i have no idea about the tallie thing, but now i know i wont buy one.

I think you can make a normal item use macro to use them specifically.

IT would mean effectively having two different bandage macros, but if you're only gonna use one of them...

Having one of these talismans (insured or owned by) is an excellent resource if self-rezzing, or getting rezzed by a wandering healer. you pop it on, use it, and use a few bandages as you run back to your corpse, putting your normal talisman back on after the recharge time is up.

I got one that produced normal (but red-colored) bandages at melissa, and used all its charges down there making bandages for healers and vets that were running out of them (we were fighting the balrons to kill the boredom between her fights), then donated it on leaving.

LBC would be cute but with armor's runic properties kinda already balanced, having it occupy an existing runic property slot would be kinda ass.

I been asking for an insurable or blessed "bandie pack", like the Ninja Belt that ninjas get to hold their ninja stars with. It hasn't materialized though.

Personally I find the Bandage Summoning Talismans to be incredibly useful for my Tamers. They can be insured so if you die and get rez'd call your pet to you, you are never without bandages... granted it only gives 10 bandies but that's plenty to rez a pet... Also I keep one of these on my warriors... How many times I go get a rez and it's nice to be healed right away before I go back for my body... Very handy item indeed. Get your bandies stolen in fel but they can't steal my talisman....

And yes they can be recharged with a runed switch so that's really nice too. The only drawback is it takes awhile for it to recharge after each use. But I will keep mine.
