How can you receive an infraction for outstanding coverage of an event?

An infraction is a breaking of the rules.

As I read it, you received a punishment for outstanding coverage?

I guess I just don't understand your post.

I imagine there are a certain 'few' of you out there that will enjoy this but... errm.. I've been infracted too.

Thank you Gareth for all of YOUR hard work to archive 2010!

Your very own badge!

Maybe you can get Warder to make a better one. I'm not very good at that stuff.

Your definition is correct and your question a valid valid one. I will try to explain...

If you ever receive an infraction from a moderator you would find this in your PM Inbox "You have received an infraction at Stratics Forums"

So I sent out the badges with the title "You Have Received A Rare Infraction!" I couldn't write the real one but wanted to try and startle them a bit before they opened the PM and found the badge, thanking them for their work. I was just going with the theme when I wrote the post, I hope this makes a little more sense.

It worked very, very well. Some of the phrases that were running through my mind, well, they just can't be repeated here..

Ok, so infraction is still the wrong word by definition but only becomes "right" for use of tricking someone into to thinking they screwed up.
