People may know I'm more than willing to run a bagball league, even offer some prizes for it... but it needs teams, and players!
Since Europa invented the sport, it's long overdue we started playing it again, for those who don't know the game there's an excellent rundown of the rules, and the history of the sport at this link :

Now we need a few teams for a proper league, but perhaps we should begin with a few practice games so folks get the idea of how it works - so I'm looking for teams of maybe 4, from cities, guilds, groups of friends... anyone who fancies having a try at one of the more 'unusual' in-game sports UO has to offer.
To see how it is played, have a look at Emile Layne's YouTube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/EMEmileLayne?feature=watch - he tried get some interest going back in early 2011, sadly it didn't catch on, but since we now have town loyalties and Governors, we surely can magave a few 'city' teams with local supporters?
For starters, I'm intending a Trammel league, mainly because I'm a Trammel player and know that aspect of the game much better than the Fel ruleset, plus I do know that the Fel version of the game is MUCH different (the push-through rules especially make tactics radically different). Also, of course, a Fel game could well turn into a free-for-all scrap, which is fine if that's what you want - but I'm more aiming at the 'battle' being the sporting one on the pitch, rather than a general melee
Ironically, Fel games need the sort of coordination and teamwork that PvP guilds are often good at, so the potential for a Fel league is there, I just don't want to try run two.... and I'm starting with the world I know best.
Anyone interested who thinks they can form a team, or want to give the sport a try, reply here or give me a shout in-game and we can try set up dates, I'm thinking at the moment maybe Monday 3 February for some trial games, since the ECL will be taking a break after 20th Jan....
