Hey all, so back in the game after a few years and I used to make a lot of my gold by taming pets for people, from swampies, fire/blue beetles, dragons and colored cu's and hiryu's.

My question is, do pets sell well these days? What kind of prices are you all seeing if you are a regular pet trainer / seller. Thanks a ton!

You can still make a great UO living by taming pets. Although things have changed a bit in the few years you have been gone. Most folks seem to want to know the pets rating {sent link to pet power calc via pm} and that really determines what you can charge for it when it comes to normal colors.

I have heard of people having success selling their pets via the Magincia Bazzar UO Stratics *New* | The New Magincia Bazaar, but I have never tried using it. While others just announce in gen chat and have success.

Either way, welcome back and good luck.... oh yeah, wait until you see the Greater Dragons :p That usually makes returning folks  some

On Europa Fire beetles/Irom beetles are best sellers. When i came back, six months ago, i started taming and selling them via magincia's stalls at 50k each... and i simply gave up after a while because i couldn't keep the pace: i think they eat them.

Rare colors cu sells for crazy gold (the blaze goes for 300-500m), less rare are kinda cheap (50-100k).

Greater Dragons... well, i don't sell gds but from what i see in game either you find a very intersted buyer for a wonderfully skilled, big stats, great resistances dragon, and maybe you can price it at 2-5m, or you put it in a stall an wait for some new tamer to be cheated.

Here the problem is that almost everyone already has a very good gd, so there is not much space left.

I have a Magincia stall on Europa. I only stock pets for non tamers who can't tame their own. It doesn't make a fortune, my prices aren't that high, but it does have a nice steady turnover and is currently holding around 1 million gp. Restocking usually requires me to tame 3 - 5 pets per day.

Magincia stalls seem to work well for pet sellers, and make it so much easier for those searching for pets to find them at reasonable prices. In the past couple of weeks (on Chesapeake) I've purchased a fire beetle for 25k and two blue beetles for 5k each.
