Back after 3 year hiatus

Hey, just decided to re-activate one of my old accounts on a whim (basically to avoid studying) after 3 years of being gone. I started back in 2000 and played till 06 when I just lost interest.

I was sad to see that my old tower is gone (what was expecting after 3 years?), but I was glad to see that I cared enough to transfer my rares to banks before I quit. Also, one of my housing spots around Yew is still open so maybe I'll just put up something small there.

Anyway, this isn't one of those requests trying to get 3 years of updates summarized in one thread, but I wouldn't mind seeing where people are hanging out right now and what the new fads are, etc. Anyways, I think I'm going to cancel my Netflix which I haven't been using much lately and keep this instead, if I find much to do again anyways

Right now, the big fads/hot spots are the champ spawns - especially the one NOT in Fel.

They added replicas of a lot of the old unique EM items that got duped repeatedly to the champs as a 10% chance of a drop (With some deco being another 20% chance).

The spawns also drop pink scrolls that act as insta-gains for skills as 105 PS-equivalent drops (0.1 to 0.5 in trammel, 0.6 to 1.0 in Fel).

That's the latest stuff. You might want to go back over the publish notes since you left, and the Five on Friday entries for the last 2+ years, to see other things you missed.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like some things never change (duping). I think I remember some non-Fel champ spawns in Ilshenar, but are there some in Tram now too?

er ... no, in the modern stratics vocabulary, Tram=not Fel.

"Tram ruleset" spawns. So any facet that isn't Fel. I don't think Trammel itself has any spawns.

None in Trammel proper, as yet (though the DID have Trammel Khaldun open for last Halloween's events).

There are 4 (3 old, and 1 in a Mondain's legacy area) in Ilshenar,
1 in Tokuno (Samurai Empire lands),
and 1+1 in Malas (both in ML areas, one of them isn't a true champ spawn, but the original prototype of an event spawn system that progresses as you work it, eventually culminating in a boss)

The 3 in Mondain's Legacy areas are generally considered the three hardest non-Harrower spawns (and frankly, a harrower is probably easier to advance to the boss than any of the 3)

Come to Siege. We have virtually no duping problems, item costs are reasonable, and we have a very close community. It's not as dangerous as people would have you believe, even if there is a bit of danger. But it gets your blood pumping.. we all know games that do that are the best.
