I messed with this a bit, but never had the funds or parts to get a proper rounded suit made.

You will need about 181 stamina to make it into a killing machine, plus all the basics MR,LMC,HCI,DCI,DI

This is just an example. I won't say it is the best, but it is good as far as keeping up your swing speed. Though my thought on the whole concept, the best would be a 4/6 chiv axer if you could pull the mana off.

Vamp Axer
120 Swords
120 Tactics
120 Anat
100 LJ
120 Resist
90 Healing
50 Necro

simply, the bonus from lj is not worth the points you will be missing in others, period

That's been the normal answer since UO:R, but seldom have people tried it. If you have the right suit, if it's either 30% DI or 10% di, it stacks. Add a crushing blow to the mix which increases 50% di, then it is well worth it.

Ask anyone who has ran a scribe mage, ask if it makes a difference. It does.

it does make a difference but what he was trying to say is you can gain 10 di in other ways and save 100 pts.
you can add bushido and gain more then 10 di plus the 50 HCI with LS.
axes swing slow enough that you can LS every hit with a few MR on your suit.

i have tested this tho, and for pvp axes aren't the best.
my pally bush swordsman has a 30 ssi 40 di ornate axe with hml and hsl with 151 stam for a swing speed of 1.50.
even then its not fast enough to disrupt mage casting and if i am against someone with a faster sword i get owned.
a 30 ssi ornate axe you cant hit 1.25 swing sweed :(
you need 35 ssi with 180 stam to hit 1.25 on the ornate axe.

unfortunately the slower the wep, the more rare it is to get the SSI mod from runics :(
i burned about 20 bronze and gold runics to get one axe that had 35 ssi but it had crappy mods..

Try 181 Stamina, 100 DI, 120 tact,120 anat , gm Lj, 30 SSI Oranate with Hit fireball with 2 crushing blows back to back...

And at that speed you will have no problem at getting other swings in while chasing as long as your stamina is full.

If you dig up the crushing blow data from uo.com from the five for friday posts you will see why I say LJ isn't a waste.

normal, because its accurate. if you were to substitute chivalry or bushido in the same template, your benefits are many times that of lj. a chiv or bushido dexxer will slaughter a lumberjacking one (with or without the right suit) any day of the week

simply because LJ'ers require too much maintence compared to other similar/better templates.

For the price to complete the 180 stam, 100 DI suit etc etc, a bush/chiv dexxor could easily counter w/o the LJ and with the benefit of LS, quite easily own the LJ'er.

From a mages point of view. Of couse itll tear up a mage but then they'll just start carrying parry w/dci suits again (and we all got our parry mage suits in storage anyways) :grrr:
