Awaken the Seer
A summons to the EM Hall
Mariah: Hello everyone! I am Mariah of Moonglow. I hope you haven't heard of me.
*shuffles*
Well, just in case you have, let me get this out the way: I am not insane, I am not an enemy of the crown, I am not a friend of daemons, I am not dangerously curious, and I am no longer the Wyrmguard of Dungeon Deceit.
I do love Truth, and I do guard the Writ of Honesty. There. Let us speak of that no more.
*folds arms, stamps foot* *looks nervous*
Now, you're probably wondering why you're here. The king asked me to gather you
you see -
A friend of mine, Naxatilor the gargoyle seer, was badly injured at the start of the recent invasions
and attacks. He has lain in a coma for some time.
*holds tightly to sash*
If it were not for him, and his prophecies, we would have been caught completely off guard.
I am sure you can see why I want to help him!
His son, Naxatilor junior, tends his duties in Ter Mur. You may see him on our travels.
He is not nearly as skilled as his father, and can only speak to you of a simple quest.
So, best to ignore him I have been trying to cure the elder Naxatilor with my magic, and he
seems to be recovering slowly. He has still not regained consciousness, but while healing him,
I did receive a vision of some dark creatures attacking him through his dreams! Many powerful healers have tried, for weeks and weeks, he heals slowly still, as I was saying I cast spells of scrying, and found that those beasts occasionally take physical form in Ter Mur.
They have also found willing pawns, in the form of the Sect of the Serpent's Fang! I can take you where they lurk. For Naxatilor's sake, you must slay them all! Once they lie dead, I hope to finally awaken him. I can see that he has a new prophecy in his mind, but I cannot access it without harming him - and I will not do that. I must warn you - these creatures are extremely toxic and can summon many a serpent to aid them. Ensure you have many cures for all the poisons you can think of with you. You will need them!
*coughs*

Note: I left the small chat out that was spoken during the lass’ speech to those gathered there. Far to few, I will say for the task she was asking, but they went anyway. But they failed in the task of defeating it and her last words to us when she departed.
Mariah: Well, I fear Naxatilor will remain in his coma. I shall pray that the gods can weaken our foe sometime in the coming days in the meantime, I hear Platinum dragons guard great hordes of loot.
I understand they were able to defeat it later with a few more folks. Sorry, I missed that part, I wish I had known they were planning on trying again so early. Congrats to those that did defeat it.
While I have no wish for Siege EM events to have a... 'handicap' applied to them for us by whatever evil forces create these beasts, I do find myself wishing they were toned down a notch. Or 5.
