Release 63 Livestream: Darkstarr
The Release 63 Livestream is today, March 8! All Avatars from around the world are welcome to join us in the livestream activities. We will be doing deep dives, answering questions, handing out prizes, and tracking towards stretch goals. To celebrate Darkstarr’s (aka Starr Long) birthday the theme for the stretch goals is Darkstarr!

Monthly livestreams are on Twitch and include answers to your gameplay questions, deep dives, prize giveaways, and more! Here is the schedule:
SALTWATER FISHING CONTEST:
We are going to have another Fishing contest! This time it will be our second Saltwater contest in The Fishing Expedition!
To participate in the contest go to The Fishing Expedition (Boats in the coastal cities of Aerie, Ardoris, Kingsport, Mud and Port Graff will take you to this tropical scene completely dedicated to fishing) and start fishing at 4 PM. The best trophy fish (longest) caught by 4:45 PM will win a prize! NOTE: We will be verifying location and time!

STRETCH GOALS (Darkstarr)
As a special bonus, we are offering funding rewards to any player that makes a minimum purchase of $5 during Release 63. To celebrate Darkstarr’s (aka Starr Long) birthday the theme for the stretch goals is Darkstarr!
All webstore purchases during the Release will count towards the stretch goals, not just the two hours of the livestream! Also participation in the Rewards Program counts towards our stretch goal totals!
*Please keep in mind that stretch goal rewards take time to develop and will most likely not be available until Release 66 at the earliest. We will keep you updated!

It is the Regent Darkstarr’s (aka Starr Long) birthday on March 12th! In honor of his birthday the recurring rare Darkstarr items are in the Crown shop for a limited time! They will only be available this year until May 3rd and then you will have to wait for another full year before they become available again!

Welcome Quest Makers
You are invited to join the Welcome Quest in Release 63.
This is a Player ran event – Portalarium (makers of Shroud of the Avatar) is not represented.
This is NOT a PVP event. Please don’t plan on PVPing at this event.
It will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 starting at 12pm (noon) central time/New Britannian time and lasting an hour. It is in your in-game Events book.
Greagoir Pendragon will be active 30 minutes before the event and during the event. So you can teleport to Greagoir Pendragon if you wish.
We are traveling to the town of Dara Brae the spiritual successor to Skara Brae! Located on the docks off of Kingsport in the Hidden Vale.

Purpose:
The Welcome Quest is a quest for all people to see many towns and establishments. It is created as a way for people to visit many player-ran locations. It involves each town and establishment to give the quest person some information and then instructions to go to the next location (a town or establishment) to do something. The path may be sequential from place to place or in parallel to multiple places at the same time. The goal is for towns and establishments to showcase their places, educate the people, and work with other player-ran towns/establishments. We do the Welcome Quest 4 items a year, one in each season.
We are proud to be the first player-ran quest in SotA! We do it for all of you.

Welcome Torch changes – testing and answers due to burnout
With Release 38, all torches changed physically. The durability started to decrease when the torch is held onto. This change also affected the Welcome Torch you receive from the Welcome Quest.
With Release 41 you now can repair your own Welcome Torches with a carpentry repair kit and a carpentry table.
