After auctioneering for Leia at HOT awhile back I can tell ya that even a few years ago, the population on LA could barely sustain one auction much less two or three. It was nearly impossible to get enough high end submissions for a weekly auction to break even. and that was over a year ago. In any case I know that Leia was doing HOT on a monthly basis with KOL but I don't know if that fell through after the first one or not. I would love to see auctions again, but I just don't see it being feasible other than on a monthly or maybe biweekly basis. If anyone wanted to put one together I would happily offer any advice that I've learned from co running HOT/ICA.
I also miss those special event auctions like the LCL barbed kit auction. Those were always fun and allowed folks to get fairly cheap runic crafted armor. It would be nice to see special auctions like that as well.

LOST will be coming back soon - events conspired to where there would have only been one staffer available, and anyone who's ever worked with one of the in-game auctions can tell you that won't work.
However, some of use have volunteered to help, so we should be scheduling an auction soon. I might even bring my tailor in to do a barbed kit or two in the LCL auction style as part of the reopening...

I had thought that KOL wanted to do the auctions on a monthly basis but I guess that was not the case and I was told they would let me know when they wanted to do another one.
To be honest, I don't play UO anymore and can't get much enthusiasm up for doing auctions--mostly because it's a lot of hard work and not many people are around that care or want them anymore. It just isn't the same as it was a few years ago at the peak, I'm sorry to say.

The KOL - HOT auctions are very unlikly to happen again. One of the main reasons we decided to do the auctions, says she would rather PVP than stay with friends and PVM/auctions blah blah etc etc.

i do miss the auctions and am sorry to hear that the monthly HOT auction won't be happening.
i did some work with leia on HOT from time to time (Gating and marking runes)and had a good time.i would love to get involved with an an auction house again

Lost will be running again soon. We have had to restaff and Are planning on having Bi Weekly Auctions ( twice a month). We will post the Grand ReOpening here within two weeks. Stay tuned for more details.

As Vahne said this shard cannot handle many auctions.I have been a part of the auction scene on La for yrs.We can have the items and no buyers.Kinda sucks to have 100 mil worth of goods and find 6-10 ppl at auction.As the night dwindles there is less ppl.Poor folks who have items in auction.
