Some of us maybe more than some are not able to spend real cash on this stuff after all they are just picsils ..

Sorry for this But i have saved a few hundred mil to get some rares and most of the time they are only offered for real cash ..

I'd take gold if I had somewhere to sell the gold, or somewhere to store the amount of gold involved... Currently I have neither. I know how it is... The increasing difficulty of buying items for (reasonable amounts) gold is one of the reasons I have given up the Rares game.

My 2cents

If i were in your shoes, I would simply sell the gold if i wanted a rare that was only being offered for RL cash bad enough. When you think about it, its the same thing.

One thing you have to understand though, is its ok to buy things for RL cash in Ultima Online. Take myself for example, I'm selling out of UO, and quitting. I have 100 mil in the bank already should i decided to return one day, and I have about 400mil in items i have no where to put. So of course I'm going to try and sell my things for RL cash or nothing at all, becuase the checks would take up more space than the items themselves. and really, the gold is of no use to me if I'm not playing.

I understand its frustrating to have to go through with finding buyers for your gold then buy something you want for RL cash, but thats just the way some people do things. Some for good reasons and some for lame reasons, but, as i said before, Ultima is one of the only MMO's I know of that allows it.

People take avantage of that.

Thats my two cents.

I stopped trying to sell the items when the dupe went public and transfers went down. People aren't going to buy your crap when they can't come get it.
