First, congrats to Ivy and Victor on your anniversary! 
Ivy, you especially have been a huge help; let me take this chance to publicly give you my thanks.
The opening ceremonies for the fest are tonight (Friday) at 7. Afterwards, we will be distributing goodie bags to all attendees, then Ozog will be taking all our visitors on a trip to the underworld.
Especially as Ivy and Victor are both going to be unable to attend, if you are available between 7 and 9 tonight, I will be in huge need of your help!
Unlike prefest events, if this is like fests in the past, we can expect a pretty good turnout in numbers. (If only to get the bags).
First, anyone who will be able to attend the opening ceremonies, if you could please grab some packies and have them on standby, I will be looking for you in the area of the fest stage around 6:15 tonight. We will load the packies with the goodie bags. Note that this would be a time when anyone looking to disrupt the fest would be likely to do so (yellow crystals, etc). It would be really helpful if we had fighters on standby to help get rid of any such spawns before they can kill the packies.
Then, I invite all staff able to attend to bring chairs and take a place on the stage. I do not expect the opening ceremonies to take long. However, afterwards, goodie bag distribution will inevitably be somewhat chaotic. It would be very much preferable if we can limit goodie bags to one per person. I have some thoughts on how to pull this off which I will cover when we meet.
Last, after goodie bags are distributed, we will be heading to the underworld. Please make sure you do not have anything expensive in your packs - as many of our guests are newbies, it will fall to us to protect them during this event. Please make sure to remind all attendees to bank their goodie bags, but to hang on to the mud puppies and coins. I will give a few spares fish and coins out to staff, just in case, but they are heavy, and we have limited numbers, so the fewer spares needed, the better.
So I can prepare, if you do plan to be there tonight at 6:15-6:30 to meet me, please post here or ICQ me.
If I can repeat a comment that was ICQ'd to me earlier tonight, I've had comments coming in like this all week: "Best rares fest ive ever seen in game in all my years." Thanks again for all your hard work! You all deserve a round of applause.
I hope that everyone has been having a chance to make new friends, and to meet up with old friends who've not been back to Chessie in a while. I know we're changing opinions about Chessie; I've even heard some folks talking about now considering moving here to join us, instead of going to Atlantic or some of the other populated shards.
