Hi there I was wondering if there is a legit way with UO or UOAssist to just target the closest enemy and attacking it, its sometimes quite tricky to find a close target when you are surrounded by monsters in champs etc. It would also be easier to just hit a button instead of trying to double click monsters as I run by.

Also if there is a nice macro to attack alot of monsters on the same time, so I can get them to target me right away while doing champ spawns

Hey there...

Seeing as how you mentioned UOAssist, I will assume it is the Classic Client. The macro used within the UO Options window would be:

1) SelectNearest (or SelectNext) with the options of either:
- Mobile - Allows you to target anything that is moving around you.
- Hostile - Allows you to target anything that is actually attacking or attempting to hit you.
2) AttackSelectedTarget

As for a way to get multiple monsters to attack you... You could always use the macro but with SelectNext and just cycle through stuff to attack. You would use Mobile for that one perhaps...

Edit: Difference between Hostile and Mobile is that if you used SelectNext - Hostile and there is a horse or llama walking around you, you wouldn't target it. With Mobile, it would be one of your targets if you repeatedly used that macro.

There is also a trick where opening your paper doll pulls spawn to you. You will still have to select a mob within reach, but then whirlwind or momentum strike, and hit area effect come in handy to dispatch the crowd.
