ATM Refunds?

From what I understand, they will not be giving these refunds until after August 1st. I got that information from a post where someone quoted a reply from Customer Service, so it seems legit. If I can find the post, I'll edit this.

Well I guess it's nice to have the information, however isn't the "development team" onto other projects? lol. Ugh, I don't understand why they have to make this so difficult. My fear is if we wait till after it closes, EA will just pretend it was never an issue. Kind of like a "prove it" scenario.

I just thought everyone would be interested to know that I just received my ATM refunds a few minutes ago. Anyone else get thiers yet?? I'm suprised that they actually gave that money back.:thumbup:

I got mine for the purchase I made in April but I didn't get the one for March yet. Maybe they are doing it by month...I'll be patient till I see for sure. lol.

I got all 4 of mine too...well, got the notices in e-mail anyway. Now if they'd just show up on my credit cards I'll be happy.

We are in the process of refunding simoleans bought through ATMs. If you have not received yours yet, you should receive it in the next few days.

I believe simolean purchases were made though paypal and therefore are being refunded through paypal. From there u can transfer the funds back to your credit card or back account.

Hmm I got $30 out of the $45 USD, but it's a start! Thanks EA :). I hope that the other $15 comes in!

I thought that might be the case, too, but it hasn't shown up in my PayPal account either...I HOPE it goes back to the credit cards. I've only ever had one refunded PayPal transaction refunded to my PayPal account. All other refunds were refunded to the credit card. I didn't see an option to transfer the funds back to credit card. Just options to use the money in PayPal stores, send me my money by check, using one of their debit cards, and I think one other option. Oh yeah, get it from an ATM (How ironic). I don't have a bank account and can't get one of their cards, so if you know how to get it transferred to my credit card, please let me know (In case they do post it to my PayPal account).

I just logged into PayPal and checked the ATM refund history. The last 3 refunds went to my credit card, but the rest went into my PayPal account. It's possible the refund might go directly onto your card, Speedy... :)

All of my ATM money went back into my Paypal account.

So, I then could transfer the money right back into my bank account.

After doing a bit of research, here's what I discovered about the paypal refund process.....

If you had your transaction drawn from your bank account... not via debit card or whatnot... directly from your bank account.... the refunded transactions will sit in your paypal account until either A) you make another purchase with paypal to use those funds... or B) you click the withdraw button in paypal, and transfer those funds back to your bank account.

If your transactions were made with credit card... paypal automatically sent the funds back to your credit card. Now, depending on your credit card policy, you may see those refunds posted within a day, or it may take up to 30 days. YOu need to contact your credit card company to determine when those funds will become available.



On a side note... from talking to other players, it seems that EA is working it's way backwards through the transactions.... I received a refund for March transaction, but not any yet for Feb transactions... so, if you used the ATM early on in it's existence, be patient, you will get your refund.

3 of mine finally showed up on my credit card. Now I just have to wait for my balance to change to $60 more than it is.

Anyone know how far the refunds are suppose to go back too? Did a few in Feb and March and wasn't sure if i would receive refund for those months. Thanks.

You'll get it. All ATM transactions will be refunded. I find it amusing though that the ATM is still showing up in the catalog. :)

Well its may 18th, I really hope I get it tomorrow then :) not that it was much but anyways hehe. I dont expect to get anything on a sunday lol

I wonder what we shall do if we only get, like some did only parts of the money back.

I still didn't get my 5 bux back, but I won't cry about it. I spent $20 worth and bought it from a friend(who beat EA price back then.) However, I can't expect my friend to give me a refund lol I guess I should've bought from EA :p

I received about 1/4th of what I am due..still no refunds as of today (Monday).

It appears to me that I received only 60 days, from the original date of the first refund notice, of refunds. My refunds stopped on a mid March date. I am hoping that they end this with heart. But to do that in my book they need to do the following:

1.)Refund all ATM transactions now.
2.)STOP BILLING ALL ACCOUNTS, RIGHT NOW!.
3.)Fix billing snaffu's so people who got refunded for billing in April, May, are able to play the game, this appears vindictive, even though it may be totally random. (And make sure it doesn't happen next month to more of your Customers.)
4.)Stop making your customers call the "Customer Support" people to ask when and if, EA is going to keep its written promises.

EA if you are listening, We are your customers, We have been your paying customers for years and years. And above and beyond the monthly fees, we are the customers who were willing to "buy" simoleans, look at the amounts we were willing to pay as a group to play this beloved game, we did it to play for more years and years and years into the future!

So, EALand didn't and doesn't have a future, but we are still EA Customers, at least right up to the bitter end of this game. Currently, it appears like EA is a Company closing, 1, one, store location but treating it's customer base like there is no tomorrow, at all. Two small questions: #1, "Are you going to treat us like Valued Customers while you close this 1, one, small part of your company? #2 "Is your customer base an assest on all those balance sheets"!

Another day down and I still haven't gotten my full refund..I'm seriously beginning to get nervous...plus I've gotten NO response from the devs.

I'm starting to get nervous. It's now Wednesday, 5 days after the first payment and NOTHING. No response from the dev team. I'm about to just call it quits on the game.

Is there something I need to do in order to get my money back that I spent on the ATM's? And I was also charged for my accounts in May and have absolutely no desire to waste my time sitting on hold with EA...I'm pretty disgusted with the lack of information and the fact that they are still charging:mad:

Contacted the support site

And I sent an email with my account name, as well as all of the Paypal transaction numbers. You can obtain your transaction numbers by going to the Paypal site and logging in with your account name and pw.

The official paypal site is www.paypal.com

I don't know if that is definitely the reason why I was refunded all I spent on the ATM's, but I did get mine back pretty quickly.

edited to add: I was billed for May as well, but there was also a credit from EA to counteract it.

I received $5 back today. However, it took so long that $5 back then was worth much more...

All I can do now is buy some online porn trial with it and half a cup of gasoline! :cursing:

I just got my refund today! Yep, all 5 transactions I tried when it first came out. Yay. Slowly but surely, they are trudging thru. :)
