Lumberjacking
At GM Lumberjacking players will have a 10% chance for a Lumberjacking damage bonus of 100% from base weapon damage.

Might just try that Lumberjacking skill now:)

So then a 29-33 base damage would have a 10% chance to hit with a 58-66 base damage? :danceb:

Multiply that increase by .3 and thats how much actual damage it will increase you in pvp. YAY. Worthless

No... I haven't tested it, but as I understand it, it appears to be base damage that is added as a separate additional damage, and no other modifiers are added. So, if you have a large battle axe with base damage of 16-17, that damage is added as a separate bonus damage and then target resists are added. So, if the target has high resists to your weapons damage type, it ends up being only 1-5 damage ( (1-Resist%)*Base Weapon Damage).

Here's the thread from the Warriors Forum. If you find it to be different, that would be great, because it really isn't worth the effort as it is IMHO.

I wish they would just make it scale upwards to a decent maximum like tactics or anatomy. The crits is an "interesting" way to differentiate LJ from Anat or tac. Though 20% damage increase at GM plus the crits is not enough of a reason to spend 100 pts.

If you do spend the points in tac, anat, and lj, you should hit hard - hella hard. Just make sure you aren't 1-shotting people....

wow, people can sure Count on that 10% in the heat of battle! It might as well be a lance.
Lame attempt at attempting to make LJ become viable like it 'Used to be'. Like it's been said, UO is an Old game, and you just can't bring back the past. For the handful of ones that use it as a fighting skill (all shards added together), I'm sure they'll enjoy it.
Willing to bet that to the Majority of the player base, it's still just a mule skill.
If it was 75% of the time, it would Still be worthless to me

On the other hand, I'm making a swords/hiding/heal toon, w/ 100'ish pts free, Just for swapping mule skills into (LJ,mining, etc). That way, on the Occasional fight while I'm out cutting trees, I'll have a (very) wee bit higher attack value.

What a waste

I use it for rp pvp and its well worth the 100 pts as an axer.
