Assassin char, stealth/hide?

As I'm about to get the 7th character slot, and wanted to do something more fun, I decided to work up a shadow assasin template.
Unfortunately, to be effective in each of the principle areas of the class type requires 100 in the associated skill.

Meaning I end up with something like this.

Alchemy
Poisoning
Hide
Stealth
Stealing
Fencing
Ninjitsu

Unfortunately, as you may have noticed, this template has the fatal flaw of having no healing capacity at all. (and the annoyance of relying on scrolled runebooks for transport)

Do any of you Stealt/Assasin players have any suggestions on how to rework this so the character can survive once revealed - as is sure to happen often with the new racial bonus to detection. ?

Use potions and/or pick up some Spirit Speak skill? Carry smoke bombs? Use orange petals? Also, review the ninjitsu forms and see which ones regen health and whether they appeal to you at all. (Don't forget that the Heritage Tokens from pre-ordering the 9th Anniversary edition and given out as gifts last September include two ninjitsu form talismans as redeemable items: a Ferret Talisman of the Fey, which gives +10 stealing when in ferret form, and a Cu Sidhe Talisman of the Fey, which provides for automatic healing using the bandages in your pack when in this form.)

There are also several artifact-type or crafted items that have Hit Point Regeneration as one of their mods: Mark of the Travesty (+3 HPR), Crystalline Ring (+5 HPR), Crimson Cincture (+2 HPR), the new jewelry set from the turn-in event (+2 HPR when wearing both ring and bracelet), Totem of the Void (+2 HPR), Jackal's Collar (+2 HPR), Primer on Arms (+2 HPR), Keeonean's Chain Mail (+3 HPR), Bracelet of Health (+10 HPR), Ornate Crown of the Harrower (+2 HPR), Resilient Bracer (+2 HPR), Gloves of the Sun (+2 HPR), and Dupre's Shield (+1 HPR). Also, a lot of looted or runic-crafted armor will have HPR as a mod. Wooden shields enhanced with bloodwood also automatically gain +2 HPR.

It is a very item dependant template. Here is how I worked mine.

115 Fence
110 Ninja
80 Poisoning
100 Hide
80 Stealth
70 tactics
60 chiv
100 resist

I wear a 100% RPD suit (with Orny and Spirit of Totem), with crazy mana regen. You have to be 4/6 casting for it to work. Chiv is your healing method. I use a really good, fast kryss so I have minimal points invested in dexterity. It allows me to give myself a mana pool of like 132. Plenty for DP/DS/AI. DS hits for 38 ish with out tracking them. AIs usually hit for 31-32. 70 tactics is perfect for a kryss/war fork/lance combo. You can still use the primary spec, so you can Armor Ignore/Bleed/DP/Dismount. With 132 mana I usually do a mana dump, dp/ds/and then chain AI until they are dead or i'm out of mana. Then I go into animal form and find the next target. The template truly is (IMHO) the best "assassin", but don't try to stand toe to toe because you can't grind it out.

You do to have healing abilities. when hidden, you can change into Dog or Cat form and heal 2hp per sec. Once revealed, you can form change into an ostard or wolf to run if you need to, and then smokebomb, or just hide and walk off.

Are you human? planning on tracking targets with the Deathstrike ability and then tossing G Explosion potions on your target?

I've been reading more into Ninjitsu, the healing sounds helpful... I'm just used to warrior types with Healing skill or mages, where healing 30 health in a couple of seconds is normal. 2/second is the stuff I barely even consider when looting armor pieces. :p

I am leaving the Alchemy on my Fisherman, and have come down to the following template.
110 Fencing
100 Hide, Sneak, Stealing, Lockpicking, Poisoning, Ninjitsu

Though lockpicking may not be of any real use. I haven't checked into the thievable items much yet. If not I will probably go with 50/50 Chivalry and Tactics or similar.

As to the purples, I love the things. :) This character will give me a more useful way of handling them.
