Hey guys,
A few things about Ask the Devs -
I work my way through the list browsing each submission, if you want to ask a certain question I encourage you to submit it, there's no guarantee anyone else will ask the question, or in a way that we will respond. Additionally, I won't make it through every submission in the queue so it could be several weeks before your question appears.
I choose questions for the FAQ Fridays based on a few things:
- Have we already commented on this topic recently in a Producer's Update or Publish Note? If so it's unlikely I'll choose this one if the answer we gave hasn't changed (such as "we'll talk about this more at the end of the year")
- How clear and concise is the question? If a question meanders, throws in arbitrary commentary, or otherwise takes a while to get to the root of the issue I probably won't choose it as it can muddy the discussion.
- If a question is "loaded" or otherwise non-constructive, there's no point in playing with fire.
I hope this sheds some light on the process
Thanks all!
Edit - One more thing:
- Additionally, many players request "wish list" items - sometimes this is stuff we can comment on, other stuff we can't. It's a grab bag and if the question is about something that is not related to anything we've announced there's only a small chance we'll respond.
